Does your agency have an emergency plan and are you prepared for an emergency?
According to the best practices established by the home health care accrediting bodies and proposed in the federal Emergency Preparedness Rule, home care and hospice agencies should conduct drills and exercises to test their emergency plan.
In this session facilitators will demonstrate a paper-based table top exercise designed to help an agency test a hypothetical emergency situation, and the participants will discuss and analyze how to work through the response actions to manage the emergency.
Also included is a review of the content of the Home Health and Hospice Emergency Preparedness Workbook
