The Home Care Alliance of MA will present a free (for members) half-day Human Resources Management  conference in Westborough, MA. 
The event will feature an overview of recent changes to employment law presented by staff of Associated  Industries of MA. Topics include earned sick time law, parental leave, typical employee handbook and  personnel records mistakes, drug and alcohol testing, disabilities act, how to ensure documentation from  supervisors, pregnant workers fairness act, as well as a larger focus on EEO.  
Jed Cohen, of Cohen Consulting, will discuss the benefits of The Work Opportunity Tax Credit and how the credit could benefit agencies, even non-profits. He will show how easy it is to obtain the credit. 
The last portion of the conference will also feature presentations by agencies showcasing innovative strategies to recruit and retain workers.

No refund for same day cancellation or no-show. Refund assumes registration paid in advance. Unpaid registrations remain payable, adjusted only for approved cancellation as above.

NEW POLICY*:HCA of MA now requires that payment in advance. If we have not received payment before the event, you will be asked to provide it or proof of incoming payment in order to attend the meeting. Please be sure to send your open invoice to your accounting department so there are no problems.
