Why this matters:

Every 2 minutes, someone dies of sepsis in the U.S.—approximately 258,000 deaths per year. 

 The body’s life‐threatening response to infection sepsis can lead to tissue damage, organ failure, and death. Sepsis is currently a top driver of hospitalization costs, nationwide.

    About this event:

More than 80% of sepsis cases originate in the community. But home health agencies have the potential to improve patient outcomes related to sepsis.

This training will cover:

  • steps for provider adoption
  • clinical application of the sepsis screening tool
  • clinical case application
  • integration into agency procedures and records
  • much more!
