Speaker: Bill Alpine, Director of the MA Dept. of Family & Medical Leave

Beginning in January of 2021, most workers in Massachusetts will be eligible to get up to 12 weeks of paid family leave and up to 20 weeks of paid medical leave. The program will be funded by premiums paid by employees, employers, and the self-employed. Contributions to the program will begin on Oct. 1, 2019, and will be managed through the new Department of Family and Medical Leave (DFML).

As the Paid Family and Medical Leave (PFML) law goes into effect on Oct. 1, join the Home Care Alliance for an educational session with representatives from the DFML to learn more about the program and its implementation. The session will also include opportunities to ask questions directly to the people charged with administering the program.
