Homebound individuals frequently present with low levels of physical activity. A common challenge facing physical therapists is engaging patients in meaningful therapeutic activities with effective dosing. This presentation will outline a systematic and practical plan for evidence-based assessment and intervention strategies to address impairments of endurance, strength, power and balance. The presentation will conclude with ideas for functional activities, based on motor learning principles to improve patient adherence using the ICF framework.
